Lauren Lee and Annie Lockett Claim AVCA All-Region Honors

Two key members of the Hope College volleyball team have earned all-region honors from the American Volleyball Coaches Association: sophomore outside hitter Annie Lockett and freshman setter Lauren Lee.

Lee (Plymouth, Michigan / Ann Arbor Skyline HS) also was selected as the AVCA NCAA Division III Region 7 Freshman of the Year.

Both Lee and Lockett (Mason, Ohio / William Mason) advanced to the All-America ballot as one of 14 all-region selections from Region 7.

Lee has flourished in her first season with the Flying Dutch, ranking third in the NCAA Division III at 11.10 assists per set.

Lee's passing helped the Flying Dutch rise to 13th in the nation in hitting percentage at .243.

This season, Lee has been selected to the Grand Rapids, Michigan, Regional All-Tournament Team, the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association First Team and as the MIAA Freshman of the Year.

Lockett topped Hope this season at 4.33 kills per set average that is seventh-highest in Division III.

This is Lockett's first season with the Flying Dutch after transferring from Eastern Michigan University. This season, Lockett has been named to the All-MIAA First Team.
