Seventh-Place Relay 4x400 Leads Men's Indoor Track and Field at GVSU Holiday Open

A seventh-place 4x400 relay led the Hope College men's indoor track and field team at the Grand Valley State University Holiday Open on Friday.

Sophomore David McNiff of Norton Shores, Michigan (Mona Shores HS), sophomore Alex Daniels of Holland, Michigan (Holland HS), senior Nate Woolum of Mattawan, Michigan (Mattawan) and freshman Erickson Kunzler of Marne, Michigan (Grand Rapids Catholic Central) clocked a time of 3 minutes, 36.92 seconds.

In the 1 mile run, Kunzler finished 11th with a time of 4:37.44.

In the 400 meters, Woolum recorded a time of 50.08 seconds for 13th place.

In the 60-meter hurdles, senior Jackson Player of San Antonio, Texas (Winston Churchill) finished 13th with a run of 8.54 seconds.

Hope's next meet is Friday, Jan. 20, at the Aquinas College John Flaminio Open.
