Goals came in bunches again for the Hope College women's lacrosse team.
The unbeaten Flying Dutch won their third match of the season on Wednesday by defeating Aquinas College, 17-11, in Grand Rapids.
Four of Hope's seven goalscorers recorded three goals apiece against their NAIA opponent: Madison McCreery, Madison Micho, Kristen Szost, and Elena Salazar.
The Flying Dutch entered the game ranked 17th in NCAA Division III in scoring offense at 18.5 goals per game.
Micho (Grand Rapids, Michigan / East Grand Rapids HS) also chipped in a team-high three assists.
Salazar (Howell, Michigan / Hartland) also registered an assist.
Szost (Jenison, Michigan / Jenison International), pictured, set a career-high for goals.
McCreery (Rockford, Michigan / Rockford) followed up a four-goal game on Saturday against Carroll University (Wis.).
The two teams combined for 12 goals during the second quarter. Hope netted seven of them to push ahead 9-6 at halftime.
During the third quarter, the Flying Dutch outscored Aquinas, 4-0, as goalkeeper Maddie Yakes produced three of career-high-matching 13 saves.
Hope's next match is Saturday, March 5, at 1 p.m. Central at No. 25-ranked University of Chicago.
