Hope College junior runner Ana Tucker and freshman thrower Greta Robrahn both picked up Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Women's Outdoor Track and Field Athlete of the Week honors.
Tucker (Midland, Michigan / H.H. Dow HS) is the Co-Track Athlete of the Week along with Trine University's Evie Miller. Tucker earned the field honor for the second time in her career.
An exercise science major, Tucker clocked the 10,000-meter fastest time in NCAA Division III and set a school record at the Raleigh Relays hosted by North Carolina State University. Her time of 35 minutes, 19.33 seconds is 2 minutes and 12 seconds faster than the nearest competitor.
Tucker eclipsed the old Hope record of 36:02.54. In a field with mostly Division I runners, Tucker finished 51st out of 85 runners.
Robrahn (Zeeland, Michigan / Zeeland East) received her first weekly outdoor award.
Robrahn posted the third-longest outdoor shot put throw in NCAA Division III this season at the Emory University (Ga.) Open last weekend. She recorded a distance of 13.01 meters (42 feet, 8 1/4 inches) and finished third out of 50 competitors. The two finishers ahead of her rank No. 1 and No. 2 in Division III this spring.
In the discus throw, Robrahn finished fourth with a toss of 35.83 meters (117-7).
