The Hope College women's golf team returned to its winning ways to start the spring portion of its season.
Led by medalist Megan Jenkinson, the Flying Dutch won the Trine University Spring Classic on Saturday by shooting a team score of 322 at Zollner Golf Course in Angola, Indiana.
Last fall, Hope won the MIAA regular-season title and posted first-place totals in six different 18-hole rounds.
Amid wintry conditions on Saturday, the Flying Dutch carded two sub-80 rounds.
Senior Megan Jenkinson (Traverse City, Michigan / T.C. West HS) fired a 6-over-par 78 and claimed medalist honors.
Senior Megan Radaz (Alma, Michigan / Alma) finished second, one stroke behind Jenkinson.
Junior Grace VanDellen (Oxford, Michigan / Lutheran Northwest) chipped in an 82 for Hope.
Sophomore Abby Fansler (Muskegon, Michigan / Reeths-Puffer) shot an 83 for the Flying Dutch.
Hope also received a 94 from junior Rita Cheney (Mason, Michigan / Mason).
The Flying Dutch's next event is Tuesday, April 5, at 1 p.m. against Albion College at Clearbrook Golf Course in Saugatuck, Michigan.
