The Hope College women's golf team secured a runner-up finish in the MIAA's NCAA Division III Championships qualifier on Saturday by shooting a 336 team score.
The Flying Dutch finished second in the 54-hole event with a total of 1,016 strokes.
Saint Mary's captured the title and the league's automatic berth to the NCAA Championships with 960 strokes. After Hope, Adrian College placed third with 1,022, while Calvin University was fourth with 1,033.
On Saturday, senior Megan Radaz (Alma, Michigan / Alma HS), pictured, led the Flying Dutch by carding a fourth-place, 8-over-par 80 at Clearbrook Golf Club in Saugatuck. Hope, as last fall's regular-season champion, hosted the qualifier final two rounds at Clearbrook.
Senior Megan Jenkinson (Traverse City, Michigan / Traverse City Central) chipped in an 83.
Junior Rita Cheney (Mason, Michigan / Mason) shot an 84.
Sophomore Emlin Munch (Traverse City, Michigan / Traverse City West) recorded an 89.
Sophomore Abby Fansler (Muskegon, Michigan / Reeths-Puffer) finished with a 90.
Saint Mary's posted the top team score on Saturday at 311. The Belles were followed by Adrian (330), Hope (336), and Calvin (347).
Playing as an individual, senior Lexi Miller of Bremen, Indiana (Bremen) shot a 91.
