A sweep of doubles play, and four singles match wins surged the Hope College women's tennis team past Calvin University, 7-2 on Friday.

Three wins in three matchups for doubles play as senior Sydney Jackson (Fort Wayne, Indiana / Carroll HS) and partner freshman Sullivan Patel (Birmingham, Michigan / Wylie E. Groves) earned their win with a 8-4 score at No. 1 doubles. Sophomore Annika Weeber (Rockford, Michigan / Grand Rapids Christian) and freshman Miyako Coffey (Cedar Rapids, Iowa / Xavier) took home an 8-1 win in the No. 2 doubles spot. Finishing out the doubles matches on Friday, Saydee Johns (Holland, Michigan / Holland) and junior Delanie Riebschleger (Rockford, Michigan / Rockford) picked up Hope's third win of the night against Calvin, 8-3.

Jackson, Patel, Weeber, and Reibschleger grabbed the wins in singles play. At No. 1, Jackson tallied a 6-3 and a 6-1 win, while Patel brought home two 6-0 wins in her No. 2 matchup.

Weeber in the No. 3 slot took down her Calvin opponent 6-4 and 6-0 to keep the orange and blue rolling through the match, and Reibschleger earned the win in the No. 6 singles spot with 6-4 and 6-2 wins.
