Jonathan Mann of the Hope College men's lacrosse team has been named a finalist for the Yeardley Reynolds Love Unsung Hero Award.

This award is given by the One Love Foundation in honor of Yeardley Love and recognizes the accomplishments of men's and women's collegiate lacrosse players from Divisions I, II and III who demonstrate dedication, integrity, humility, hard work, community service, leadership, kindness and sportsmanship — all qualities Yeardley Love exemplified throughout her life. Love was a University of Virginia women's lacrosse student-athlete whose life was ended due to relationship abuse in 2010.

Mann is one of four Division III men's finalists along with Ethan Adkins of Capital University (Ohio), Gilmathan Del Valle of the University of Massachusetts Boston and Sean Wiser of DeSales University (Pa.).

There are 18 finalists across three NCAA women's divisions and the Division III men's division.

Earlier this month, Mann graduated from Hope after majoring in English and political science.

Mann (Plymouth, Michigan / Detroit Jesuit HS) played in 16 games this season as a senior midfielder for the MIAA regular-season champion Flying Dutchmen.

Mann is Hope's third finalist for the Yeardley Reynolds Love Unsung Hero Award. John Hunger was chosen as the award recipient in 2018. Gareth Ulmer was a finalist in 2020.
