Four Women's Golfers Named to WGCA All-American Scholar Team

Four Hope College women's golfers have earned spots on the Women's Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholar Team.

Juniors Rita Cheney and Grace VanDellen join sophomores Abby Fansler and Emlin Munch in representing the MIAA champion Flying Dutch among the group of 1,485 recipients across all of women's collegiate golf. The minimum cumulative GPA for honorees is 3.50. 

Cheney and VanDellen each received the honor for the third time.

Cheney is a biology major from Mason, Michigan (Mason HS).

VanDellen, the 2021 MIAA Most Valuable Women's Golfer, is a mechanical engineering major from Oxford, Michigan (Lutheran Northwest).

Fansler is a mechanical engineering major from Muskegon, Michigan (Reeths-Puffer).

Munch, an All-MIAA Second Team selection last fall, is a Global French Studies and Music Performance - Voice double major from Traverse City, Michigan (Central).
