The Hope College men's indoor track and field team recorded three Top 10 performances at Grand Valley State University's Bill Clinger Classic this weekend.
The non-scoring meet features teams from NCAA Division II and Division III teams as well as NAIA.
On Saturday, senior
Eli Meder (Williamston, Michigan / Lansing Catholic HS) won the men's open mile run.
Meder posted a time of 4 minutes, 15.07 seconds to finish ahead of runner-up Bentley Alderson of Grand Valley State University, who went 4:15.90.
Sophomore Lucas Guidone (Chicago, Illinois / Taft) took sixth in the open mile by clocking a time of 4:18.50.
On Friday, Hope's 4x400 relay raced to an eighth-place run as sophomore David McNiff (Norton Shores, Michigan / Mona Shores), Guidone, Meder and senior Nathan Woolum (Mattawan, Michigan / Mattawan) went 3:26.21.
Hope's next meet is Saturday, Feb. 4, at 11 a.m. Central at the University of Chicago's Windy City Invite.
