The Hope College men's cross country team ran to an 8th place finish in the Blue Division and a fourth-place finish in the Silver Division at the Greater Louisville Classic on Saturday.Â
In the Blue Division, a total of 48 teams competed at the E.P. "Tom" Sawyer State Park course.Â
Every Flying Dutchmen recorded a sub-27-minute 8k run in Louisville, Kentucky, in the group of 433 total runners. Â
Junior Connor Vachon (Jenison, Michigan / Jenison HS) led the pack of Hope runners with a time of 25:03.2 to finish in the top 15.Â
Sophomore Carston Cole (Holland, Michigan / West Ottawa) finished at 26:00.2.
Sophomore Ian Petruska (Fort Collins, Colorado / Fort Collins) clocked a time of 26:00.6.Â
Senior Eli Meder (Wiliamston, Michigan / Lansing Catholic) crossed the finish line at 26:08.7.
Sophomore Chad Perrine (Jackson, Michigan / Jackson) had a time of 26:08.7.
Fifth-year Gabe DeYoung (Saegertown, Pennsylvania / Saegertown) finished at 26:37.5.
Sophomore Nile Devers (Gobles, Michigan / Gobles) completed the Hope runners in the Blue division with a time of 26:56.0.Â
The top individual runner was Enrique Salazar of Manchester with a time of 24:21.2.Â
The Silver division squad posted a 4th place finish out of 55 teams as junior Lucas Guidone (Chicago, Illinois / Taft) crossed first for Hope with a time of 26:41.3.Â
Sophomore Erickson Kunzler (Grand Rapids, Michigan / Catholic Central) ran in at 26:59.7 in the pack of 289 total runners.Â
Junior Jonathan Harlow (Holland, Michigan / homeschool) finished at 27:06.4.
Sophomore Jonas Fraley-Burgett (Kalamazoo, Michigan / Central) clocked a time of 27:10.6.Â
Sophomore Luke Skuratowicz (Kalamazoo, Michigan / Central) crossed the finish line at 27:15.9.Â
Sophomore Owen Harries (Lexington, South Carolina / Lexington) went 27:22.6.Â
Junior Ryan Allspach (Glen Ellyn, Illinois / Glenbard South) rounded out the pack of Grand and Blue with a time of 27:24.6.Â
The Great Lakes Region fourth-ranked Flying Dutchmen take to the course again on Saturday, Oct. 7, at the Pre-National Invitational in Newville, Pennsylvania, at 11 a.m.
