Senior Logan DeWitt Leads Men's Golf at Region V Showcase

Senior Logan DeWitt fired a 3-over-par 74 to lead the Hope College men's golf team at the NCAA Division III Region V Showcase on Monday.

DeWitt is one of eight golfers who are tied for third place and are five strokes off the individual leader.

The 36-hole, two-day tournament at Warren Golf Course in South Bend, Ind., concludes on Tuesday, Oct. 24, at 10 a.m.

The Flying Dutchmen finished with a team score of 308. Hope sits fifth out of 16 teams.

Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology holds the first-round lead after carding a 295. Rose-Hulman's Austin Frick carded the top round of the day with a 69.

Junior Will Webb (Lake Forest, Illinois / Lake Forest) chipped in a 76 for Hope.

Sophomore Liam Casey (Northville, Michigan / Detroit Catholic Central) shot a 78 for the Flying Dutchmen.

Junior Will Robson (Grand Rapids, Michigan / East Grand Rapids) added an 80.

Sophomore Patrick Michael (Carmel, Indiana / Carmel) had an 82.

Rose-Hulman is five strokes ahead of second-place Otterbein University (Ohio).

Capital University (Ohio) is in third place at 306. Augustana College (Ill.) is in fourth at 307.
