Six from Women's Soccer Named to Academic All-District® Teams, Selected by College Sports Communicators

Six members of the Hope College women's soccer team have been named to the 2023 Academic All-District® Women's Soccer Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators.

Liz Bellinger, Lauren Ellinger, Natalie Hammer, Tally Martinez, Jenna Mustapha and Carley Wagasky represent the Flying Dutch in the program that recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. 

The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

Bellinger (Williamston, Michigan / Williamston HS) is a sophomore midfielder majoring in physical and health education.

Ellinger (Fishers, Indiana / Hamilton Southeastern) is a sophomore midfielder majoring in political science.

Hammer (Rockford, Michigan / Rockford) is a senior forward majoring in German and social work.

Martinez (Zeeland, Michigan / Zeeland West) is a senior defender majoring in physical and health education.

Mustapha (Ada, Michigan / Forest Hills Northern) is a senior defender majoring in chemistry.

Wagasky (Grand Haven, Michigan / Grand Haven) is a junior forward majoring in chemistry.
 
Academic All-District® honorees are considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced on Tuesday, Dec. 19, for the men and Wednesday, Dec. 20, for the women.
 
The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards-fulfillment aspects for the 2022-23 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs.
