Two Hope College women's soccer teammates have been selected to the 2023 United Soccer Coaches All-Region Teams for NCAA Division III.
Defender Jenna Mustapha and forward Carley Wagasky are among 12 second-team honorees in Region VIII and 36 all-region selections overall for the region.
Both helped the Flying Dutch to a 10-2-6 overall record and a runner-up finish in the MIAA regular-season standings and the league tournament.
Mustapha (Ada, Michigan / Forest Hills Northern HS) claimed all-region honors for the third consecutive season. The senior also made the first team as a sophomore and the second team as a junior.
A chemistry major, Mustapha anchored Hope's defense as the center back. The four-time All-MIAA recipient handled free kicks for the Flying Dutch and registered a career-high four assists this season.
Wagasky (Grand Haven, Michigan / Grand Haven) excelled in her first season at Hope after spending the previous two seasons at NCAA Division II University of Findlay (Ohio).
The junior topped the Flying Dutch with nine goals and nine points. Wagasky also recorded one assist.
Wagasky also received All-MIAA First Team honors.
