The Hope College men's indoor track and field team recorded three of its fastest runs of the season during Grand Valley State University Big Meet this weekend.

On Saturday, the Flying Dutchmen's distance medley relay of senior Eli Meder (Williamston, Michigan / Lansing Catholic HS), senior Nathan Woolum (Mattawan, Michigan / Mattawan), sophomore Lucas Guidone (Chicago, Illinois / Taft) and sophomore Connor Vachon (Jenison, Michigan / Jenison) delivered a season-best time of 10 minutes, 3.37 seconds.

The relay is the fastest in the MIAA so far this season and came in just three seconds off of the school record.

Also, freshman Carston Cole (Holland, Michigan / West Ottawa) clocked a season-best 3,000-meter run of 8:42.41 that ranks seventh in the MIAA as well.

On Friday, senior Gabe DeYoung (Saegertown, Pennsylvania / Saegertown) posted a team-best 5,000 meters of 15:56.20.

Hope's next meet is on Friday, Feb. 17, at 3 p.m. at the GVSU Tune-Up.
