Women's Tennis Drops Match To West Georgia

Three Flying Dutch earned wins against the University of West Georgia for the Hope College women's tennis team on Monday in the 5-2 loss to open up spring break play in Orlando, Florida at the USTA Training Center. 

Hope grabbed the one doubles point by winning two flights in the No. 1 and No. 2 slots on Monday.

Freshman Amanda Lopykinski (Lemont, Illinois / Lemont Township HS) and partner sophomore Sullivan Moran (Birmingham, Michigan / Wylie E. Groves) snagged the win in No. 1 doubles while sophomore Miyako Coffey (Cedar Rapids, Iowa / Xavier) and partner senior Taylor Truman (Hudsonville, Michigan / Hudsonville) earned the win for Hope in No. 2 doubles. 

The Flying Dutch earned one win in singles play with Truman taking down her opponent with 7-5 and 6-2 wins. 

Hope continues spring break play with a match on Tuesday, March 21 at 8:30 a.m. against Trinity College (Conn.) at the USTA Training Center in Orlando, Florida.
