The Hope College women's tennis team begins its quest for another MIAA Tournament title at home on Wednesday, April 25, at 4 p.m. with a semifinal match against Saint Mary's College.

The match will be played either indoors at DeWitt Tennis Center or outdoors at Vande Poel-Heeringa Stadium Courts.

The Flying Dutch are seeded second after finishing runner-up to Kalamazoo College in the regular-season standings with a 6-1 league record.

Hope (11-6 overall) will face the third-seeded Belles, who went 5-2 in MIAA matches this season.

The Flying Dutch won the regular-season match this season, 7-2, on March 31 at Saint Mary's.

Three members of the Flying Dutch have recorded double-digit singles wins this season: freshman Amanda Lopykinski (Lemont, Illinois / Lemont Township) with a 18-7 record, sophomore Sullivan Moran (Birmingham, Michigan / Groves) at 16-4 and junior Annika Weeber (Rockford, Michigan / Grand Rapids Christian) at 12-7.

Hope is 32-8 all-time against Saint Mary's, including a 4-0 mark in MIAA Tournament play. The Flying Dutch recorded a 5-0 victory in the last postseason meeting in 2021.

Wednesday's winner will advance to face either top-seeded Kalamazoo or fourth-seeded Calvin University in the championship match on Friday, April 28. The higher remaining seed will host.

The Flying Dutch have been MIAA Tournament champions 10 consecutive times, a league record, and 16 times overall.
