Hope College's Ana Tucker recorded another run for the record books on Thursday at the Drake Relays in Des Moines, Iowa.

The senior from Midland, Michigan (H.H. Dow) clocked in the eighth-fastest outdoor time in NCAA Division III history in the 5,000 meters with a school-record run of 16 minutes, 10.91 seconds.

Tucker surpassed Vicki Mitchell of SUNY Cortland, who posted 16:16.20 at the 1991 Penn Relays, Melissa White of SUNY Geneseo, who recorded 16:17.00 at the 2003 Penn Relays, and Melissa Skiba of California Lutheran, who went 16:17.87 at the 2015 Occidental Invitational.

The Division III record belongs to Kassie Parker of Loras (Iowa), who posted a 15:37.00 at the 2023 Payton Jordan Invitational at the Stanford Invitational.

Tucker cut 26 seconds off her previous school record of 16:36.43, which she set in 2022.

The exercise science major finished ninth out of 28 runners. Xiuzhen Ma of China won in 15;43.92.

The top college performance belonged to Lindsay Cunningham of NCAA Division II Winona State (Minn.), who recorded a 15:45.91.

Tucker posted the second-fastest Division III time in the field. Fiona Smith of St. Benedict (Minnesota) took fourth at 16:05.43.
