The second-ranked Hope College volleyball team will have a home-court advantage in its bid to repeat as regional champion.

The MIAA champion Flying Dutch have been selected as one of eight regional hosts nationwide for the NCAA Division III Championships, the NCAA announced on Monday.

Hope (25-2) will host an eight-team regional on Thursday-Saturday, Nov. 21-23, at DeVos Fieldhouse on campus.

Play is scheduled to begin on Thursday at 11:30 a.m., Friday at 4:30 p.m. and Saturday at 7 p.m. The regional champions advance to the national quarterfinals on Wednesday, Dec. 4, at the Cregger Center in Salem, Virginia. The tournament will be reseeded before the quarterfinals.

Led by head coach Becky Schmidt, Hope will face Greenville College (Illinois) from the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference in the regional opener on Thursday at 7 p.m.

Thursday's other first-round matches feature Otterbein University vs. the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, Case Western Reserve University (Ohio) vs. the University of Dubuque (Iowa) and Millikin University (Illinois) vs. Cornell College (Iowa).

All-session and single-session tickets will go on sale on Tuesday, Nov. 19, beginning at 9 a.m. through the Hope College Ticket Office.

All-session tickets, which are good for all three days of competition, cost $20 for regular admission; $12 for senior citizens, veterans and students with ID; and $5 for children ages 3-12.

Single-session tickets cost $10 for regular admission; $8 for senior citizens, veterans and students with ID; and $5 for children ages 3-12. Children 2 and under are free.

Tickets can be purchased online or on weekdays in person at the Hope Ticket Office, 100 East 8th Street, during regular business hours. Tickets also can be purchased at the door beginning one hour before the first match each day.

This is Hope's sixth consecutive postseason appearance and 20th overall.

The Flying Dutch have won five regional titles, including last season. Hope finished as the 2023 national runner-up after losing in the NCAA Division III championship match to Juniata College (Pennsylvania) in three sets in Claremont, California.

In 2014, Hope earned the program's first national title and the school's third in any sport by defeating Emory University (Georgia) in five sets in Newport News, Virginia.
