Six Hope College men's cross country runners earned All-MIAA honors with their performances on Saturday, Nov. 2, during the league championships held at Gainey Athletic Complex in Grand Rapids.

Juniors Carston Cole and Ian Petruska, and senior Connor Vachon were named to the first team.  Freshman Logan Begeman, fifth-year Dan Campbell and freshman Elias Kretchmar were named to the second team.

The top eight finishers at the MIAA Championships make the first team. The next eight finishers comprise the second team.

Petruska (Fort Collins, Colorado / Fort Collins HS) claimed first-team honors for the second time by placing second out of 153 runners with an 8K time of 24 minutes, 36.2 seconds.  This is Petruska's second All-MIAA recognition.

Vachon (Jenison, Michigan / Jenison) took fourth place with a time of 24:41.5. This is the fourth All-MIAA honor for the computer science and mathematics education major.

Cole (Holland, Michigan / West Ottawa) placed eighth with a time of 24:55.3. This is the third All-MIAA honor for the exercise science major.

Begeman (Portage, Michigan / Portage Central) finished 11th with a time of 25:10.4.  This is the first All-MIAA distinction for Begeman.

Campbell (Brighton, Michigan / Brighton) posted a 12th-place run of 25:17.2.  This is the first All-MIAA award for the physical and health education major.

Kretchmar (Granville, Ohio / Granville) placed 14th with a time of 25:28.7.  This is Kretchmar's first All-MIAA award.
