Three from Women's Soccer Voted to United Soccer Coaches All-Region Teams

Three members of the Hope College women's soccer team have earned all-region honors from the United Soccer Coaches: forwards Ainsley Harris and Carley Wagasky, and defender Mia Hesley.

Harris (Zeeland, Michigan / Holland Christian HS) and Hesley (Portage, Michigan / Portage Central) both made the third team.

Wagasky (Grand Haven, Michigan / Grand Haven) received fourth-team accolades.

It is the sixth time in program history that at least three Hope student-athletes have claimed all-region honors in the same season.

Harris and Hesley earned their first all-region honors

Harris ranked second on the Flying Dutch in both goals with three and points with 14. The double major in secondary education and physical/health education tied for second on the team with four assists in 18 matches.

An All-MIAA First Team recipient for the second time, Harris has nine goals and 10 assists over the past two seasons at Hope.

Hesley, a freshman, helped the Flying Dutch rank second among MIAA teams in goals-against-average at 1.00.

MIAA coaches voted Hesley as the MIAA Newcomer of the Year and voted her to the All-MIAA Second Team.

Wagasky claimed all-region recognition for the second consecutive season.

The chemistry major scored a career-high 10 goals in 18 matches this season and tied for second-most among MIAA players. Wagasky was also an All-MIAA First Team selection for the second time.

Wagasky totaled 19 goals over her two seasons with the Flying Dutch.
