Men's Track/Field Posts Eight Top 10 Efforts at GVSU Tune-Up

The Hope College men's indoor track and field team recorded Top 10 finishes in eight events on Friday at the Grand Valley State University Tune-up.

Senior Jackson Player (San Antonio, Texas / Winston Churchill HS) posted third-place efforts in the 60-meter hurdles and the triple jump.

Player clocked a 60-meter hurdles time of 8.56 seconds. Sophomore John Wenderski (Livonia, Michigan / University Detroit Jesuit) was seventh at 9.21 seconds.

Player delivered a triple jump of 11.75 meters (38 feet, 6 ¾ inches). Junior Aidan Kyle (Weston, Connecticut / Weston) was fifth at 11.51 meters (37-9 ¼).

In the long jump, freshman Evan Keolasy (Fort Wayne, Indiana / Blackhawk Christian) took third with a leap of 6.58 meters (21-7 ¼). Junior Derik Smith (Niles, Michigan / Edwardsburg) was eighth at 6.33 meters (20-9 1/4).

In the 400 meters, junior Joshua Ennen clocked a fourth-place time of 50.69 seconds. Sophomore Wyatt Marsh took fourth at 51.50. Freshman Dylan Terpstra (Hudsonville, Michigan / Hudsonville) was 10th at 51.50.

In the 60 meters, sophomore Liam Danitz (West Branch, Michigan / Ogemaw Heights) finished with a sixth-place run of 7.14 seconds.

In the 200 meters, Danitz placed sixth at 22.34. Junior Alex Daniels (Holland, Michigan / Holland) was eighth at 22.70.

In the high jump, senior Nathan Colbrunn (Zeeland, Michigan / Zeeland East) posted a sixth-place leap of 1.70 meters (5-7).

In the shot put, sophomore Griffin Bloch (Clinton Township, Michigan / Chippewa Valley) took 10th with a heave of 10.86 meters (35-7 ¾).

Hope's next meet is Saturday, Feb. 24, at the MIAA Championships hosted by Trine University.
