Men's Track and Field Places Six on All-MIAA Indoor Track and Field Team

Six Hope College men's track and field members earned All-MIAA honors following the 2024 MIAA Indoor Track and Field Championships.

Senior Eli Meder, juniors Lucas Guidone and Connor Vachon, and sophomores Carston Cole, Owen Harries and Wyatt Marsh all claimed the recognition by winning events at Saturday's leet meet at Trine University.

Meder (Williamston, Michigan / Lansing Catholic HS) repeated as MIAA champion in the men's 800 meters by clocking a time of 1 minute, 56.71 seconds.

Vachon (Jenison, Michigan / Jenison) won the men's 1-mile run and led a 1-2-3 Hope finish in the event after recording a run of 4:18.01.

Guidone (Chicago, Illinois / Taft), Cole (Holland, Michigan / West Ottawa), Harries (Lexington, S.C. / Lexington) and Marsh (Grand Blanc, Michigan / Lake Fenton) claimed an MIAA title in the men's distance medal relay by posting a first-place run of 11:20.05.

The six All-MIAA honorees helped the Flying Dutchmen produce a runner-up total of 109 points at the seven-team event.

It was Hope's best finish at the MIAA Indoor Championships since the event began in 2018. The Flying Dutchmen tied for second in 2021.
