Men's Track/Field Clocks 12th-Fastest Time in the Nation at Wartburg Qualifier

Hope also set a school record in the event.

The Hope College men's indoor track and field team set a school record in the distance medley relay and put itself in contention to qualify for the NCAA Division III Indoor Championships on Friday in Waverly, Iowa. 

Senior Eli Meder (Williamston, Michigan / Lansing Catholic HS), senior Nathan Woolum (Mattawan, Michigan / Mattawan), junior Lucas Guidone (Chicago, Illinois / Taft) and junior Connor Vachon  (Jenison, Michigan / Jenison) established a new top mark for the Flying Dutchmen on Friday at the Wartburg College Qualifier.

Hope's relay posted a time of 9 minutes, 55.56 seconds to eclipse the previous school record of 9:57.12.

The relay also ranked 12th in all of NCAA Division III after competition on Friday.

The top 12 in each event will compete at the national meet.

The final day to post qualifying times and distances for the 2024 NCAA Division III Champions is Saturday, March 2.

The national meet is Friday-Saturday, March 8-9, in Virginia Beach, Va.
