Most Valuable Men's Golfer Liam Casey Headlines Group of Four All-MIAA Selections

Led by Most Valuable Golfer Liam Casey, the MIAA champion Hope College men's golf team claimed four All-MIAA selections for the 2023-24 season.

Casey (Northville, Michigan / Detroit Catholic HS) headlines a group of six first-team selections and 12 honorees overall.

The sophomore is joined by three teammates: first-team recipients Logan DeWitt and Will Webb, and second-team honoree Will Robson.

Casey is the Flying Dutchmen's 22nd MIAA Most Valuable Men's Golfer and the first since Josh Gibson in 2018.

It is Casey's second All-MIAA award.

Casey averaged a league-best 74.5 strokes per round over 108 combined holes last fall and this spring. Casey finished one stroke ahead of three golfers for the season, including DeWitt.

DeWitt (Zeeland, Michigan / Holland Christian) shot 74.67 for the season and earned All-MIAA honors for the first time.

On Saturday, the senior business major finished as co-medalist at the 36-hole MIAA Spring Finale at Legacy Golf Course in Adrian after posting a 5-over-par total of 77.

Webb (Lake Forest, Illinois / Lake Forest) is an All-MIAA selection for the first time.

The junior communication major averaged 75.33 strokes per round this season. Webb's 4-under 67 at Trine's Zollner Golf Course tied for the second-lowest round in MIAA history.

Robson (Grand Rapids, Michigan / East Grand Rapids) claimed his fourth All-MIAA recognition.

The senior business major averaged 76.5 strokes per round in league play this season. Robson made the All-MIAA First Teams as a junior, sophomore and freshman.
