Women's Golfer Abby Fansler Earns All-MIAA First Team Honors

Hope College golfer Abby Fansler made the most of her senior season on the links.

Fansler (Muskegon, Michigan / Reeths-Puffer HS) earned All-MIAA recognition for the first time and finished runner-up in the MIAA seasonal standings.

The mechanical engineering major is one of six first-team selections.

Fansler tied for the MIAA's top seasonal scoring average at a career-best 79.33 strokes over 108 holes.

Fansler matched Saint Mary's College's Haley Angel and Adrian College's Lauren Reed for scoring average after 72 holes during the fall and 36 during the spring. Angel won a playoff for the seasonal medalist honors on Saturday.

Fansler finished in the Top 10 in each MIAA round this season.
