The Hope College men's golf team is aiming to heat up in the desert this week.
The MIAA-champion Flying Dutchmen are competing in the 45-team, four-day NCAA Division III Championships in Boulder City, Nevada, outside of Las Vegas.
Play begins on Tuesday, May 14, at 7:45 a.m. Pacific. The Flying Dutchmen will tee off for an 18-hole round at the 7,077-yard, par-72 The Legacy Golf Club.
On Wednesday, May 15, Hope will play the 7,377-yard, par-72 Boulder City Golf Club.
After 36 holes, there will be a cut to the top 18 teams plus ties and the top six individuals from non-advancing teams.
The 72-hole tournament will conclude on Thursday-Friday, May 16-17. The team and individual with the lowest cumulative score will be crowned national champions.
Hope has qualified for the NCAA Championships for the third consecutive season and 17th time overall.

Logan DeWitt (Zeeland, Michigan / Holland Christian) and
Will Webb (Lake Forest, Illinois / Lake Forest) and second-team honoree
Will Robson (Grand Rapids, Michigan / East Grand Rapids).
Hope's best team finish at nationals is sixth place in 2017 and 2018. Josh Gibson was the individual national champion in 2017.
