Women's Swim/Dive Claims CSCAA Scholar All-America Accolades

The MIAA champion Hope College women's swimming and diving team earned Scholar All-America honors from the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America for the spring semester.

To qualify for the honor, teams must record a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher during the Spring 2024 semester.

Led by head coach Jake Taber, the Flying Dutch finished the semester with a 3.52 GPA.

Hope also finished 15th this season at the NCAA Division III Championships.

Samantha Barany, executive director of the CSCAA, praised the 722 men's and women's award recipients from 417 different institutions.

"The commitment to academic excellence shown by these teams is truly admirable," Barany said in a statement. "It's inspiring to see student-athletes excelling both in the pool and in their studies. The CSCAA takes great pride in acknowledging and celebrating the dedication and perseverance of these teams."
