Men's Cross Country Maintains Third-Place Rank in USTFCCCA Great Lakes Region Poll

The Hope College men's cross country team held its third-place spot in the Great Lakes Region in this week's United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association rankings.

USTFCCCA regional rankings are determined subjectively by a single member coach in each respective region. The regional representative is tasked with weighing returning teams' strength with current season results (if applicable) in determining a rank-order of squad potential.

Only USTFCCCA member programs are eligible to receive a ranking. Teams with provisional status within the region may be ranked.

The Flying Dutchmen trail only John Carroll University (Ohio) and Calvin University in the region. John Carroll is first.

Hope returns to competition on Saturday, Sept. 21, at 9 a.m. at the Indiana State University John Nicholas Invitational in Terre Haute, Indiana.

Indiana State's LaVern Gibson Championship Cross Country Course is the site of this year's Division III National Championships on Saturday, Nov. 23.
