Junior Ian Petruska of the regionally-ranked Hope College men's cross country team led the way with a Top-five finish on Saturday at the Knight Invitational hosted by Calvin University.
Petruska (Fort Collins, Colorado / Fort Collins HS) notched a 25-minute, 58-second 8k time, putting him in front of runners from NCAA Division II schools, as well as those from nationally-ranked Division II schools.
Davenport University, NCAA Division II, came in first place with 44 points. Hope finished in sixth place with 168.
Freshman Joe Waalkes (Grand Rapids, Michigan / Grand Rapids Christian) was Hope's second finisher with a 31st-place time of 27:32.
Freshman Nicholas Guidone (Chicago, Illinois / Home School) placed 43rd and finished at 28:20.
Freshman Noah Norris (Ann Arbor, Michigan / Washtenaw Academy) clocked a time of 28:21 for 44th place.
Sophomore Ethan Grevengoed (Spring Lake, Michigan / Spring Lake) ran a 28:43 for 45th place.
Freshman Kenny Evans (Corunna, Michigan / Corunna) finished in 48th place with a 28:49 time.
Junior Arman Khaledan (River Forest, Illinois / Oak Park River Forest) crossed the line at 29:15 for 52nd place.
