Women's Swimming and Diving Alan Babbitt

Eleven Selected for 2025 All-MIAA Women's Swimming and Diving Team

A record-setting championship performance propelled the 12th-ranked Hope College women's swimming and diving team to one of the Flying Dutch's largest group of All-MIAA honorees.

Eleven from MIAA-champion Hope received All-MIAA accolades for the 2025 season, the second-most honorees in team history.

Senior Sara Kraus (Rockford, Michigan / Rockford HS) headlined the group as the Flying Dutch's 26th MIAA Most Valuable Swimmer and a four-time All-MIAA recipient.  The exercise science major also claimed the Most Valuable Women's Swimmer honor in 2023 and 2022.

Kraus is joined on the All-MIAA team by 10 teammates: seniors Greta Gidley, Norah Martin, Lauren Ryle and Grace Wesley; juniors Katie Hermann, Bella Turner and Laurel Wasiniak; sophomores Madi Remenschneider and Laura Zupancic; and freshman Emme D'Errico.

Most Valuable Swimmer honors went back to Kraus after earning five gold medals at last week's MIAA Championships.

Kraus became the second MIAA women's swimmer to become a four-time league champion in the 100- and 200-yard backstroke, joining Lori Gano '91 in accomplishing the feat. Kraus won the 400 individual medley and swam on the MIAA-champion 200 and 400 medley relays. Kraus also swam on Hope's 200 freestyle B Relay which won its heat.
