The junior sprinter is one of six Flying Dutchmen to make the All-MIAA Team

Hope College sprinter Liam Danitz has been selected as the MIAA Most Valuable Indoor Men's Track Athlete.

The junior from West Branch, Michigan (Ogemaw Heights HS) co-headlines the 2025 All-MIAA Team with Trine University's Ethan Spehr, the Most Valuable Field Athlete.

Danitz is joined on the All-MIAA Team by five teammates: junior Carston Cole (Holland, Michigan / West Ottawa), junior Carter Dean (Traverse City, Michigan / Traverse City West), senior Lucas Guidone (Chicago, Illinois / Taft), junior Tyler King (Villa Park, Illinois / Willowbrook) and senior Erickson Kunzler (Marne, Michigan / Catholic Central).

Danitz is Hope's second Most Valuable Track Athlete, joining Nick Hoffman (2021).

The exercise science major was honored after scoring the most points in running events at Saturday's MIAA Championships at Trine.

Danitz broke the MIAA record in the 200-meter dash record with a time of 21.59 seconds, earning All-MIAA First Team accolades and ranking him fourth in NCAA Division III. Danitz also finished as the runner-up in both the 60-meter dash and the 4x400m relay.

Danitz's time of 6.83 in the 60-meter dash is tied for 17th in the nation.

The Flying Dutchmen claimed All-MIAA First Team honors in the distance medley relay. King, Guidone, Dean and Cole won the event in 10:45.20.

Guidone made the All-MIAA Second Team in the 800 meters after finishing second behind Kunzler.

This season marks the inaugural recognition of the All-MIAA Second Team for track and field. First Team honors are awarded to event winners, while the Second Team includes event runners-up.
