Men's Track and Field Sets Indoor School Record in the 4x400 Relay at Wartburg

The Hope College men's track and field team sprinted to another indoor school record on Saturday.

The Flying Dutchmen clocked a time of 3 minutes, 18.79 seconds at the Wartburg College (Iowa) Last Chance Meet.

Freshman Dylan Terpstra (Hudsonville, Michigan / Hudsonville HS), senior Alex Daniels (Holland, Michigan / Holland), senior Joshua Ennen (Zeeland, Michigan / Zeeland West) and junior Liam Danitz (West Branch, Michigan / Ogemaw Heights) topped their previous school record of 3:19.97 that they ran on Feb. 15 at Grand Valley State University.

The relay finished fourth in a field of 11, topping Calvin University by 0.15.

In the 3,000 meters, freshman Logan Begeman (Portage, Michigan / Portage Central) posted a ninth-place, PR run of 8:33.50 and freshman Elias Kretchmar (Granville, Ohio / Granville) recorded a 13th-place run of 8:39.27.

On Friday, senior Erickson Kunzler (Marne, Michigan / Catholic Central), Daniels, senior Lucas Guidone (Chicago, Illinois / Taft) and senior Connor Vachon (Jenison, Michigan / Jenison) posted a fifth-place run of 10:06.88.
