The Hope College women's tennis team delivered a resounding statement in its pursuit of another regular-season league title.
The Flying Dutch blanked Kalamazoo College 7-0 on Tuesday afternoon at the DeWitt Tennis Center, the second consecutive sweep of the Hornets in as many years.
The Flying Dutch dominated across the board, improving to 4-0 in league play and 12-6 overall. Critical come-from-behind three-set victories from senior Miyako Coffey (Cedar Rapids, Iowa / Xavier HS) and sophomore Madison Wei (Parker, Colorado / Regis Jesuit) at No. 3 and No. 4 singles, respectively, helped propel Hope past Kalamazoo.
Hope hits the road next, traveling to Adrian College, on Saturday, April 12, at noon to continue MIAA play.
