The MIAA-champion Hope College men's golf team tees off at the NCAA Division III Championships on Tuesday, May 22, at 12:50 p.m. in Penvale, N.Y.
The 72-hole, four-day tournament outside of Rochester is hosted by St. John Fisher University.
Rounds will be played at the 6,558-yard, par-72 Midvale Country Club and the 6,770-yard, par-72 Cobblestone Creek Country Club.
There is a cut after 36 holes.
Golfing for Hope are seniors
Jack Guerrera (Northville, Michigan / Detroit Catholic Central HS) and
Will Webb (Lake Forest, Illinois / Lake Forest), juniors
Liam Casey (Northville, Michigan / Detroit Catholic Central HS) and
Patrick Michael (Carmel, Indiana / Carmel), and freshman
Will Thomas (Portage, Michigan / Portage Central).
The Flying Dutchmen, led by head coach
Scott Lokers, are competing at nationals for the fourth consecutive season and 18th time overall.
Hope's best team finish is a tie for sixth place at the 2017 and 2018 NCAA Championships.
Individually, the Flying Dutchmen's top effort came from Josh Gibson in 2017 when the sophomore won a playoff for an individual national title.
