Volleyball's Lauren Lee Serves Up AVCA National Player of the Week Accolades

The senior receives the honor for the second time in her Hope College career

Hope College setter Lauren Lee has been selected as the American Volleyball Coaches Association NCAA Division III Volleyball Player of the Week.

This is the second time Lee has received the honor. The senior from Plymouth, Michigan (Skyline) claimed the recognition as a freshman during the 2022 season.

Lee guided the 18th-ranked Flying Dutch to four-set victories against No. 14 Marietta College (Ohio) and No. 7 Illinois Wesleyan University last weekend at DeVos Fieldhouse.

Hope (11-4) served Illinois Wesleyan its first loss in 13 matches this season.

A chemistry major, Lee totaled 84 assists (10.50 per set), 14 digs (1.75 per set), eight kills, four service aces and 13 points (1.63 per set) over the two matches.

On Monday, Lee was named the MIAA Volleyball Specialist of the Week for the second consecutive week and the 10th time in her career.

Hope hosts Calvin University in tonight's MIAA opener at 6:30 p.m. at DeVos Fieldhouse.
