Swimmer Graham Eisenmann Leads No. 20 Men's Swim/Dive vs. No. 4 Chicago

Junior Graham Eisenmann clocked a winning 100-yard freestyle to lead the No. 20-ranked Hope College men's swimming and diving team during a Senior Day dual meet against fourth-ranked University of Chicago on Saturday.

Eisenmann (Ozark, Missouri / Ozark) posted a time of 46.20 seconds at the Holland Aquatic Center, topping Chicago's Ryan Logo by 0.99 seconds.


The Flying Dutchmen also recorded four runner-up finishes. Chicago won the dual meet, 212-85.


Eisenmann added a second-place finish in the 200 freestyle, swimming 1:40.51, 0.15 seconds behind Chicago's Alex Schwartz.


In the 200 backstroke, junior Josh Bordovsky (Herndon, Virginia / South Lakes) placed second in 1:54.11, trailing Chicago's David Gutin (1:53.13).


The 400 freestyle relay of sophomore Everett Cox (Sugar Land, Texas / Logos Prep), Eisenmann, freshman Nolan Smith (Buffalo Grove, Illinois / Buffalo Grove) and junior Christian Hoeksema (Holland, Michigan / Holland Christian) finished runner-up in 3:07.25, 0.10 seconds behind Chicago.


In 1-meter diving, freshman Finn Sanders (Wyoming, Michigan / Grandville) finished second with 241.15 points. Chicago's Danyla Ghadiali won the event with 260.50 points.


Hope returns to competition Friday, Feb. 6, at 4:30 p.m. at Calvin University.
