The Hope College men's track and field team recorded five first-place finishes on Friday at the Mrs. G Invitational, hosted by Trine University.
Junior
Dylan Terpstra (Hudsonville, Michigan / Hudsonville) won the 200 meters during the non-scoring meet, crossing the finish line first in 21.99 seconds. Terpstra also added a fourth-place finish in the 60 meters with a time of 6.92 seconds.
Freshman
Maurice Streeter (Kalamazoo, Michigan / Kalamazoo Central) captured first place in the 60 meters, winning the finals with a time of 6.84 seconds.
Sophomore
Kevin Barifagok (Las Vegas, Nevada / Cristo Rey Saint Viator) earned a first-place finish in the 400 meters with a time of 49.80 seconds.
Freshman
Lincoln Phillips (Dorr, Michigan / Hamilton) secured another win for the Flying Dutchmen in the 60-meter hurdles, taking first place with a time of 8.35 seconds.
Hope also claimed the top spot in the 4×400 relay as the quartet of Barifagok, Terpstra,
Brad Raredon (Hudsonville, Michigan / Hudsonville), and
Luke Bellino (Brighton, Michigan / Brighton) finished first in 3:23.85.
In the field events, freshman
Carter Marquard (Shelbyville, Michigan / Wayland) recorded a second-place finish in the high jump by clearing 1.95 meters (6 feet, 4.75 inches).
Sophomore
Logan Lipka (Frankenmuth, Michigan / Frankenmuth) placed second in the triple jump with a mark of 12.65 meters (41-6).
Senior
Henry Burnham (Carmel, Indiana / Carmel) earned a fourth-place finish in the long jump with a top mark of 6.32 meters (20-9).
Hope's next meet will be at Grand Valley State University's Big Meet on Friday, Feb. 13, at 8:30 a.m.
