Men's Swim/Dive Claims All-America Honors in the 800 Freestyle Relay

The Hope College men's swimming and diving team earned Second Team All-America honors in the 800-yard freestyle relay during Day 3 of the NCAA Division III Championships on Friday in Indianapolis.

Junior Graham Eisenmann (Ozark, Missouri / Ozark), sophomore Josh Bordovsky (Herndon, Virginia / South Lakes), sophomore Joe Engle (Holland, Michigan / West Ottawa), and sophomore Everett Cox (Sugar Land, Texas / Logos Prep) posted a 10th-place swim of 6 minutes, 36.39 seconds at the Indiana University Natatorium.

Hope swam in two more events during prelims.

In the 200 medley relay, Hope finished 19th. Bordovsky, junior Christian Hoeksema (Holland, Michigan / Holland Christian), Engle and sophomore George Marsh (Bloomfield Hills, Michigan / Seaholm) clocked a time of 1 minute, 31.44 seconds.

In the 100 breaststroke, Eisenmann placed 29th after a season-best swim of 56.21.

The four-day meet concludes on Saturday, March 21, with 10 a.m. prelims and 6 p.m. finals.

The Flying Dutchmen are tied for 31st place with 18 points.
