Track's Mary England Clocks PR in 5,000 Meters at Wartburg

Hope College distance runner Mary England posted her personal-best, 5,000-meter run this weekend during the two-day Wartburg University Final Qualifier in Waverly, Iowa.

England, a junior from Kalamazoo, Michigan (Kalamazoo Central), clocked a third-place time of 17 minutes, 47.59 seconds in a field of seven.

The meet was the Flying Dutch's final before the NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships national qualifiers are announced.

Freshman Jaidyn Klimp (Galesburg, Michigan / Galesburg Augusta) placed sixth in the pentathlon after scoring 3,301 points.

Klimp, the MIAA pentathlon champion, recorded a personal-best, 800-meter run of 2:25.51.
