Men's Track and Field Alan Babbitt

Men's Track and Field Competes at Calvin Knight Invite

The Hope College men's track and field team competed at the Calvin Knight Invite on Saturday and recorded several solid performances against a competitive field.

Senior Vamsee Vemana (Canton, Michigan / Plymouth) led the Flying Dutchmen on the track with a sixth-place finish in the 200 meters, crossing in 22.49 seconds. Sophomore Gavin Bush (Bloomfield Hills, Michigan / Birmingham Seaholm) followed with a seventh-place finish in 22.78.


Junior Luke Skuratowicz (Kalamazoo, Michigan / Kalamazoo Central) placed 15th in the 1,500 meters in 4:14.38, while  senior Andrew Tilly (Lemont, Illinois / Lemont Township) finished 22nd in 4:15.81


Freshman Nicholas Guidone (Chicago, Illinois / Home School) placed 20th in the 800 meters with a time of 2:08.31.


The Flying Dutchmen will compete next on April 20 at 11 a.m. in the MIAA Outdoor Championships – Combined Events Day 1, presented by Collegiate Credit Union, hosted by Hope at Brewer Track. The two-day event concludes on Tuesday, April 29, at 11 a.m.
