Eleven from Women's Track and Field Earn USTFCCCA Outdoor All-Region Accolades

Eleven student-athletes from the Hope College women's track and field team earned All-Great Lakes Region accolades from the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.

The top-8 individuals in each event from each region are honored. The regions used for this award match those used during the cross country season: Great Lakes, Metro, Mid-Atlantic, Mideast, Midwest, Niagara, North, Northeast, South, and West.

Seniors Frances Cozzens, Molly Durow, Sophia Raymond, Sara Schermerhorn, and Ava Schmidt, juniors Mary England and Olivia Ippel, sophomore Sofia Fisher, and freshmen Jaidyn Klimp, Eliana Kotsonis, and Savana Monville represent the Flying Dutch.

Cozzens, an art studio major from Lyman, New Hampshire (Saint Johnsbury Academy), earned her first all-region honor in the 4x400 relay.

Durow, an elementary education major from Glenview, Illinois (Glenbrook South), captured all-region accolades for the second consecutive season with her performances in the 1,500 and 5,000 meters and the 3,000-meter steeplechase.

Raymond, an exercise science major from Woodstock, Illinois / Woodstock), claimed her first all-region honor in the hammer throw.

Schermerhorn three-peated as an all-region honoree in the 100, 200, and 400 meters, and the 4x400 relay. The exercise science major from Traverse City, Michigan (Traverse City West), also garnered all-region recognition for the first time in the 4x400 relay.

Schmidt, a business major from Saline, Michigan (Saline), earned her first all-region honor in the 4x100 relay.

England, an exercise science major from Kalamazoo, Michigan (Kalamazoo Central), captured her first all-region distinction in the 5,000 meters.

Ippel, a communication major from St. Joseph, Michigan (St. Joseph), claimed her first all-region accolades in the 5,000 and 1,000 meters.

Fisher, a social work major from Lombard, Illinois (Montoni Catholic) earned her first all-region honors in the 100 and 200 meters and the 4x100 relay.

Klimp (Galesburg, Michigan / Galesburg Augusta) captured her first all-region distinctions in the high jump, heptathlon, 4x100 relay, and 4x400 relay.

Kotsonis (Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin / Hamilton) claimed her first all-region accolade in the heptathlon.

Monville (Auburn, Michigan / Bay City Western) earned her first all-region honors in the 400 hurdles and 4x400 relay.
