Eight Women’s Golfers Named to WGCA All-American Scholar Team

Eight Hope College women's golfers have been selected for the Women's Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholar Team: recent graduates Sara Muir and Caydee Constant; juniors Kylie Gernaat, Rachael Jones, Jaiden Winters and Allyson Zuidema; and freshmen Gabby Hanover and Kennedy Gernaat.

To be selected, student-athletes must:

have an overall cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher;
be an amateur and on the team's roster through the conclusion of the team's season; and
have played in 50% of the college's regularly scheduled competitive rounds during the year nominated through the team's conference championship.

Muir, a public accounting and business major from Ada, Mich. (Grand Rapids Christian High School), earned Scholar All-America accolades for the second time.

Constant, an elementary education major from Grand Haven, Mich. (Grand Haven High School), is a first-time recipient.

Kylie Gernaat is a two-time Scholar All-American recipient from Kalamazoo, Mich. (Kalamazoo Christian High School), who majors in business.

Jones, a mechanical engineering major and All-MIAA First Team selection from Grove City, Ohio (Grove City High School), claimed Scholar All-America distinction for the second time.

Winters, a nursing major and All-MIAA Second Team honoree from New Carlisle, Ind. (New Prairie High School), earned Scholar All-America accolades for the third time.

Zuidema, an accounting and English double major from Northville, Mich. (Northville High School), achieved Scholar All-American honors for the third time.

Hanover (Mason, Mich. / Mason High School) and Kennedy Gernaat (Kalamazoo, Mich. / Kalamazoo Christian High School) are first-time recipients.
