Women's Golf 2026-27 Season Preview

The Hope College women's golf team enters the 2026 season looking to build on a third-place finish in the MIAA a year ago

Head coach Megan Radaz says this year's team can continue to build upon the growth from last season.

"Our returners will play a huge role on and off the course this year," she said. "They all have a level of comfortability and confidence in one another and themselves. They are great role models for the underclassmen."

Radaz enters her third season leading the Flying Dutch and will look to continue the program's upward trajectory.

"Our goal this year is to be intentional each day, stay patient and confident on the course, and ultimately have success on the course. We know we have the talent and experience to succeed this year; we just need to be patient and confident in all we do to set ourselves up to be in a good position."

With a blend of veteran leadership and developing players, the Flying Dutch will look to build consistency throughout the season and position themselves for a strong finish in the MIAA.

ROSTER

Hope returns eight golfers from last season, including three of its top returning MIAA scorers in seniors Rachael Jones of Grove City, Ohio (Grove City), Allyson Zuidema of Northville, Michigan (Northville) and Jaiden Winters of New Carlisle, Indiana (New Prairie).

Jones was named First Team All-MIAA last season after posting a 77.33 stroke average during MIAA play. Winters earned Second Team All-MIAA honors and averaged 80.83, while Zuidema averaged 81.50.

Hope's roster also features senior Kylie Gernaat of Kalamazoo, Michigan (Kalamazoo Christian), along with sophomores Kennedy Gernaat of Kalamazoo, Michigan (Kalamazoo Christian), Gabby Hanover of Mason, Michigan (Mason), Leah Krieger of Lowell, Michigan (Lowell) and Jozie Mitran of Libertyville, Illinois (Libertyville)

Freshman Emma Grace Ruszkiewicz of Chelsea, Michigan (Chelsea), joins the roster this season.

SCHEDULE

The Flying Dutch open the 2026 season on Tuesday, Sept. 1 against Calvin at Clearbrook Golf Club in Saugatuck.

Hope begins MIAA competition on Monday, Sept. 14 at Marshall Country Club in Marshall, Michigan. The MIAA champion is determined after 108 holes, with 72 holes coming in the final and 36 holes played during the spring. The Flying Dutch host the second jamboree on Tuesday, Sept. 22, at Clearbrook.
