The Hope College women's tennis team defeated St. Michael's (Vt.) 7-2 on Thursday in Kissimmee, Fla. It was the final match of the Flying Dutch's spring break trip.

Hope is now 5-1 on the season.

Two players earned two points for Hope with singles and doubles victories: junior Carli Capestany of Hudsonville (Hudsonville HS) and sophomore Nancy Benda of Birmingham (Seaholm HS).

Benda and Capestany teamed at No. 1 doubles to defeat St. Michael's Caroline Toutoungi and Caroline Martin 8-3.

At No. 2 singles, Benda beat Nicole Kellogg 6-1, 6-1, while at No. 3 singles, Capestany topped Toutoungi 6-0, 6-2.
