Sophomore Gunnar Elder of East Grand Rapids, Michigan (East Grand Rapids HS), scored five goals to lead the Hope College men's lacrosse team to an 18-10 win against Calvin on Saturday at Van Andel Stadium.

The Flying Dutchmen finished the 2015 season with a 6-10 overall and a fifth-place MIAA record of 2-4.

Hope never trailed after jumping ahead 6-0 in the first period and extended the lead to 11-3 by halftime.

Sophomore Zach Weber of Ann Arbor, Michigan (Pioneer HS), chipped in three goals for the Flying Dutchmen.

Senior Ryan VanderPloeg of Mundelein, Illinois, and junior Parker Osterink of Longwood, Florida (Seminole HS), netted two goals apiece. 

The Flying Dutchmen honored four seniors during a pre-game ceremony: VanderPloeg, Matt Hemenway of Ionia, Michigan, Nicklas Raycraft of Brighton, Michigan, and Peter Stuckey of Okemos, Michigan.
