Box Score The Hope College men's lacrosse team lost to Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association-leader Albion 19-8 on Tuesday at Van Andel Stadium.
Senior Parker Osterink of Longwood, Florida (Seminole HS) and freshman Gino Battaglia of Lebanon, Ohio (Lebanon HS) scored two goals apiece to lead the Flying Dutchmen.
Hope (9-6 overall) dropped into fifth place in the MIAA standings with a 3-3 league record.
Albion (10-4, 6-0 MIAA) clinched a share of the league championship. The Britons scored the first goals of the match and never trailed.
Hope returns to action on Saturday, April 30 with a 2:30 p.m. Senior Day match against Trine.
The Flying Dutchmen need to beat Trine and win by at least four goals to clinch a berth in next week's MIAA Tournament.
