Nick Hoffman posted a fourth-place finish in the 1-mile run for the Hope College men's indoor track & field team at the Grand Valley State University Holiday Open on Friday.
The freshman from Holland, Michigan (Holland HS), pictured, clocked a time of 4 minutes, 26.46 seconds during the meet that features teams from all three NCAA divisions and the NAIA.
Hope finished 19th with six points.
Junior Owen Ljung of Sonoma, California (Santa Monica) placed eighth in the 800 meters at 1:54.49.
The Flying Dutchmen's next meet is Saturday, January 19 at GVSU's Mike Lints Open.
