Sophomore Rocco Mularoni of Hartland, Michigan (Detroit Catholic Central HS) scored twice for the Hope College men's lacrosse team in a season-opening 9-4 loss at Carthage, Wisconsin on Saturday.

The Flying Dutchmen also received goals from senior Grant Brogan of East Lansing, Michigan (East Lansing) and sophomore Max Kuiper of Grand Rapids, Michigan (Forest Hills Central).

Sophomore goalie Nick Schanhals of North Muskegon, Michigan (North Muskegon) made 13 saves.

Hope returns to action on Tuesday, February 27 with a 6 p.m. home opener against Concordia-Ann Arbor at Van Andel Soccer Stadium.
