Daniel Settecerri is picking up this season for the Hope College men's golf team right where he left off last season.
The junior from Bloomfield Hills, Michigan (Bloomfield Hills HS) fired a 4-under 68 on Saturday to claim medalist honors and help the ninth-ranked Flying Dutchmen win the Olivet College Lou Collins Memorial.
Hope completed with a 36-hole, two-day total of 574 after shooting back-to-back 287s. The Flying Dutchmen went 2-under-par as a team and finished 14 strokes ahead of runner-up Trine University in the 14-team event.

Settecerri, who earned honorable mention All-America honors last season, played 3-under on par-5s during the tournament at Bedford Valley Country Club in Battle Creek. He also went 1-under on both par-4s and par-3s.

Three Hope golfers tied for eighth individually at 1-over: seniors Josh Gibson of Grandville, Michigan (Grandville), Andrew Goble of Brighton, Michigan (Brighton), and Ben Kramer of Spring Lake, Michigan (Spring Lake).
Goble carded an even-par round of Saturday. Kramer was 1-over, while Gibson was 2-over.
Junior Noah Weigle of Grandville, Michigan (Grandville) tied for 15th at 5-over with a second-round 76.
Three Hope golfers played as individuals, including freshman Matt Schawel of Vernon Hills, Illinois (Stevenson), who carded a 68 on Saturday. Sophomore Luke Tapani of Wayzata, Minnesota (Providence Academy) shot a second-round 73 Saturday, while freshman Austin Zolman of Wyoming, Michigan. (Grandville) had a 77.
